(PART2)After four years working abroad and sending nearly 100,000 dollars every year, I came home without warning and found my wife b:ald, skin and b0nes, and washing dishes in the backyard

Derek called my phone twenty times in a row, but I did not answer a single call.

At nightfall, I returned to the house accompanied by a licensed lawyer, the notary, and two local police officers who came along to ensure peace and prevent any physical confrontation. My mother was sitting in the living room surrounded by printed bank statements, while Paige’s makeup was smeared with tears and her expensive dress was completely wrinkled.

“You robbed us!” Margaret screamed hysterically the moment I walked through the front door. “Give me back my house and my money right now!”

I calmly opened my leather folder and laid the property deeds, bank transfer statements, Gwen’s official medical reports, and the video recording of the birthday party right on the glass table.

Then I pressed the play button on my phone.

And before the very first video clip finished playing, my mother realized that the full truth was only just beginning to surface.

PART 3

On the bright screen, Paige appeared laughing hysterically while Gwen, pale and visibly trembling, struggled to carry a heavy tray. Then my mother’s clear voice echoed through the room.

“If she faints again, just leave her lying out in the yard,” my mother said coldheartedly on the recording. “She always puts on a dramatic show whenever guests come over.”

The heavy silence that followed inside the living room was far louder than any angry scream.

Paige tried to lunge forward to snatch the phone out of my hand, but one of the police officers quickly stepped in to block her. My mother looked frantically at the lawyer and then at the notary, desperately searching for some legal loophole to escape the situation.

“That recording does not prove that money was originally yours!” my mother shouted defensively. “You sent those funds because you were a good son, and once deposited, that money legally belonged to me!”

I calmly pulled out four full years of international bank transfer receipts, my official payroll slips, text conversations where she explicitly promised to manage my funds to build my house, and messages where she assured me that Gwen was receiving proper care.

Then I placed a small folded paper directly in front of her on the table. It was the original sales receipt from the local shop that had purchased my wife’s hair for one hundred and fifty dollars.

“While you were hoarding over seventy thousand dollars in private investment accounts, Gwen sold her own hair just to pay for a cancer biopsy,” I said with cold clarity. “Are you going to claim that her hair was a gift to you as well?”

My mother looked down toward the floor for a brief second before her face hardened once more.

“She was always a weak woman,” my mother spat out bitterly. “Besides that, you are my biological son, and your mother should always come first!”

“Being my mother never gave you the legal or moral right to let my wife slowly die,” I responded firmly.

Paige let out a sharp, nervous laugh.

“You do not even know if she is actually sick!” Paige claimed dramatically. “She probably manipulated you with fake stories just to steal everything for herself!”

My lawyer immediately opened the official medical folder, revealing detailed diagnostic scans, ultrasound images, pathology reports, records of severe weight loss, and urgent surgical recommendations. He also presented a formal criminal complaint that Gwen had officially filed regarding terrorizing threats, restriction of communication, psychological abuse, and intentional medical neglect.

My mother’s face turned completely pale.

“A formal police complaint?” she whispered in disbelief. “Against your own biological family?”

“My true family was the woman who waited faithfully for me for four long years,” I replied directly. “You only used our shared blood as a free license to steal my labor and humiliate my wife.”

Seeing that her defense was crumbling, Margaret suddenly shifted her tactics. She dropped down to her knees, began weeping loudly, and grabbed both of my hands.

“Gavin, my dear boy, I only wanted to secure Paige’s future!” my mother begged tearfully. “A young woman needs solid financial assets so her husband respects her after marriage, but you are a strong man who can easily go back to work and earn more money!”

That single sentence completely destroyed whatever lingering affection remained in my heart.

I had spent four years sleeping in cramped trailer quarters with six other workers, working through high fevers, wearing worn-out boots to save money, and spending lonely holidays staring at a phone screen. For my mother, all of that agonizing sacrifice could easily be repeated simply because I was a man, while for Paige, my sweat was nothing more than an unlimited credit card.

“I did not take anything that ever belonged to either of you,” I stated clearly. “This house was built entirely with my earnings, the investments came directly from my paychecks, and you voluntarily signed the transfer forms because you greedily expected four hundred thousand dollars more.”

Paige began crying genuine tears of panic.

“My wedding is scheduled in less than a month!” Paige sobbed hysterically. “What am I supposed to tell Derek now when he expects this house as part of my wedding settlement?”

“Tell him the absolute truth,” I answered without hesitation. “Tell him that you claimed ownership over wealth your brother earned through hard labor while you left your sick sister-in-law to starve without medical care.”

The notary officially confirmed that the property donation had been completely voluntary, that all legal consequences had been fully explained beforehand, and that the deed transfer was already being processed at the county records office. My lawyer added that any legal challenge they attempted would fail, given the overwhelming evidence of financial tracking, written deception, and documented abuse.

I did not want to transform the evening into a public spectacle, so I granted them three full days to pack their personal clothing and individual belongings. I also made it explicitly clear that they were legally barred from approaching or contacting Gwen, as the police officers officially handed them temporary protection orders.

My mother glared at me with deep hatred as I turned to leave.

“The entire town will know that you threw out the mother who gave you life!” she screamed after me.

“And they will also learn exactly why I did it,” I replied calmly.

Over the next three days, Margaret frantically phoned uncles, cousins, neighbors, and our local pastor, claiming that Gwen had put a dark spell on me and that a manipulative woman had destroyed our family.

However, she did not anticipate that I would break my silence.

I gathered our extended family members together in the courtyard, not to publicly humiliate anyone, but because my mother had already spread her distorted narrative. I presented the official wire receipts, the bank statements, the medical diagnostics, and a short clip from the birthday video.

My Aunt Brenda, who had spent years admiring my mother’s expensive gold jewelry, covered her mouth in absolute shock.

“Margaret, did you truly know that poor girl had cancer and refused to give her even bus fare?” Aunt Brenda asked in horror.

My mother feebly claimed that Gwen was exaggerating her illness, but our neighbor, Mrs. Jenkins, spoke up firmly from the front gate.

“I personally saw that poor girl walking miles along the hot road because she lacked bus fare,” Mrs. Jenkins revealed to everyone. “I also saw her return home with her head completely shaved, and when I asked about it, Paige lied and said it was punishment for being lazy.”

The elaborate web of lies instantly collapsed right in front of the entire community.

On the fourth day, Margaret and Paige quietly packed their belongings and moved into a small rented room near the regional bus station. They took their personal clothes, personal identification, and their individual jewelry, as I had no desire to act with the same cruelty they had shown.

Their lavish lifestyles came to a sudden halt. Paige quickly discovered that Derek was far from the devoted partner he pretended to be, as he promptly canceled the wedding the moment he realized there would be no luxury house, private spa, or bank fortune attached to her name.

When Paige angrily accused him of being a gold digger, Derek retorted that she had fraudulently lied about her family’s wealth from the very beginning.,………………………….
