The president\u2019s latest approval rating has been revealed in a new poll as American people, including members of his own party, continue to question his cognitive health.<\/p>\n

Many people fear that Donald Trump has bitten off more than he can chew with the war in Iran, but it\u2019s not the only reason that people have raised concerns about his mental sharpness in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

Many Republican Party members have spoken out against the 79-year-old after he posted an AI image that appeared to depict himself as Jesus, which he later clarified was intended to be seen as him being a doctor \u2013 to which many an eyebrow was raised.<\/p>\n

The updated approval rating also comes after a quarrel with Pope Leo XIV, who has publicly criticised the US for waging war on Iran.<\/p>\n

But in spite of the attempt to seemingly prove to his formerly loyal supporters that religion remains important to him, a six-day public opinion poll, conducted by Reuters\/Ipsos, has revealed his most recent approval rating.<\/p>\n

Donald Trump\u2019s latest approval rating<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Trump enjoyed his highest approval rating of his current term shortly after he was sworn into office again on January 20, where it stood at 47 percent.<\/p>\n

However according to the latest stats, only 36 percent of Americans approve of Trump\u2019s performance, as of April 2026.<\/p>\n

The president has been under increasing pressure to end the war with Iran, which his administration began alongside Israel in February, as the price of oil around the world has risen to record highs.<\/p>\n

Also, the report revealed that only 26 percent of Americans said they consider Trump \u2018even-tempered\u2019.<\/p>\n

Between threatening to wipe out an entire civilization and falling out with some of the US\u2019 closest historical allies, including the UK, it\u2019s safe to say the president\u2019s mental capacity has been called into question.<\/p>\n

He won\u2019t deport Prince Harry because \u2018he has enough problems with Meghan\u2019<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Again in 2025, Trump \u2013 who sold branded plastic straws during his 2020 election campaign \u2013 said paper straws \u2018don\u2019t work\u2019 and \u2018disgustingly\u2019 dissolve when being used.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese things don\u2019t work,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019ve had them many times, and on occasion, they break, they explode.\u201d<\/p>\n

Saying the Biden administration spent $8 million making mice transgender<\/strong><\/h1>\n

During his address to Congress in March 2025, Trump accused the Biden administration of spending $8 million on \u2018transgender mice\u2019 experiments.<\/p>\n

PBS later fact-checked this and concluded that this claim was false, with PBS News Hour\u2019s White House correspondent Laura Barr\u00f3n-L\u00f3pez saying \u2018the idea that scientists are making mice transgender is false\u2019.<\/p>\n
